Andreas Widmer

Guest:

Andreas Widmer is the founder and director of the Art & Carlyse Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at the Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business, where he loves to teach and mentor students to find their true calling. Previously, he helped lead high-tech companies, bringing more than 100 leading-edge technology products to market. He also led several organizations focused on enterprise solutions to poverty.

A former Swiss Guard serving under Pope John Paul II, he wrote The Pope and the CEO, which describes the 10 lessons he learned from the pope about leadership and the centrality of the human person in work. His newest book is The Art of Principled Entrepreneurship: Creating Enduring Value. His biggest accomplishment, he says, is building a great marriage with his wife, Michelle, and seeing their son, Eli, develop and grow in character.

On Faith and Reason, Andreas has been featured in an episode of our In Person series.
