Fr. John Nepil

A priest of the Archdiocese of Denver and a member of the priestly association of the Companions of Christ, Father John Nepil serves as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and St. Louis Parish. An avid hiker and mountaineer, he has summited all 54 of Colorado’s “14ers,” or mountains that are at least 14,000 feet above sea level, and celebrated Mass atop them. He has also thru-hiked nearly 500 miles on the Colorado Trail, sharing his experiences and reflections in his book, To Heights and Unto Depths: Letters From the Colorado Trail. He is also a co-host on the Catholic Stuff You Should Know podcast, which covers a wide variety of faith-related topics. He earned a doctorate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical University of Santa Croce in Rome.
